DbContext Pooling: The Secret Sauce to Faster EF Core Apps - Chris Woody Woodruff
Imagine you’re running a restaurant. Every time a customer orders, you buy a brand-new frying pan, use it once, and toss it out. Sounds absurd, right? But that’s essentially what happens in EF Core wh...

Tailwind CSS 4.0 is out now and the integration in a #dotnet blazor app is quite easy, you just have to make sure to have a npm task runner running for the tailwind CLI and Hot Reload.
And sadly your best option is to go with Visual Studio, since Hot Reload and Rider in Aspire won't work flawlessly.

The lack of hot reload Support in Rider for #dotnet #blazor applications in Aspire applications is actually quite a bummer and a reason to stick to Visual Studio for now...

In the recent years more and more open source software started to get commercialized. Just learned about IdentityServer @duendesoftware.com started a few years ago too.
I guess I have mixed feelings about it.
After all there is still a community license.

The more I explore #dotnet Aspire, the more impressed I am. Hooking up a PostgreSQL Database, adding pgAdmin, and setting up DI for an API project is just a matter of a few lines of code in the app host. It even creates random credentials and hooks them up to the services that reference the db.

What IDE are you using for #dotnet? Rider, Visual Studio or VSCode? Am I missing some?
I gave Rider a try for a few days now and I kinda like the look and feel. Visual Studio feels a bit bloated sometimes.

Been absent from #dotnet for too long. Was too busy spending time with #kubernetes and #go.
Really love the whole updated stuff and that I'm still extremely comfortable in programming whatever I want with C#.

So I gave #dotnet #aspire a try now and have written a little bit about what I experienced.

Looking forward to start building a little application with it!

Has anyone already played around with #dotnet #MAUI?

I'm wondering if it's better than Xamarin was and if it's actually worth to give it a try.

Just read about the #Windows 2024H2 Update - sudo for Windows? I live it!

Looking at #dotnet Aspire, it feels similar to Encore for Typescript or Go. I really like the simplicity - looking forward to learn more about it.
