Zaany is a magic eater and stores magic in their tail, so when it is taken / they run out of magic, they're forced into tiny dog form and can't transform back into their humanoid form.

A scrawny dog-creature that looks much like a sight hound. It has light purple and sky blue short fur, and a mane of purple hair that goes from the top of its head to its very, VERY long tail tip.
