At this point the prospect of "we have big changes planned for FFXIV" doesn't inspire confidence at all.

I once again remembered that there was a plot point in post-Endwalker patches where you solved a conflict with literal Garlean nazis by initiating a trade agreement between them and Thavnair.
Thavnair in general isn't criticized in the game enough. They are like Ul'dah 2.0 with even less morals

Saw articles on the recent interview with Yoshi-P and I'm genuinely amazed by the level of missing the point about why people hate the tomestone grind.
The biggest issue with the game is that most of the gearing is done through times while almost everything else is just cosmetics.
