#boardgame post! Gnome Hollow is an absolute blast. I like the gameplay of Gnome Hollow more than Flamecraft, if cute was in competition with each other. Great combo of tile-based map building (very Carcassonne like) while participating in the gnome economy. Great game and absolutely adorable.

"It seems that we are about to learn what people who have developed a yearning to resist anti-democratic moves by this new administration can do. The federal workforce seems to be deciding to show Donald Trump who they are."

@brenebrown93.bsky.social frequently asks her podcast guests about what ordinary moments bring them great joy. It has helped me pay attention to those moments. Tonight is one: cozy and warm, listening to beautiful music, and reading a book loaned to me by a colleague @mattsmith1897.bsky.social .

"There is still a rule of law out there, and there are people who care about it and will work to enforce it."

Thank you for getting this one out to all of us, @joycewhitevance.bsky.social . Important and hopeful read. There is a lot of good happening.

Such an important read. Stay informed. Law breaking is happening and the rise of partisanship is allowing it to happen. It's hard but we can't close our eyes. Follow @hcrichardson.bsky.social

I love our state of Michigan. There are so many GOOD people in this country. The Grand Rapids chief of police is one of them. The new administration does not have the power it thinks it has. There is precedent. There is the court of law. Don't proactively give them power.

Lifting my spirits from the absolute bullshit happening in Washington DC by punching out the pieces for a new board game. Gnome Hollow. It sure is a cute one. Let's see if it rivals the cuteness of Flamecraft.
