I enjoy the pleasant, plump roundness of my phone's 3rd lowest volume setting. I despise the flaccid impetuousness of the pathetically deflated 2nd lowest volume setting

Bottom of my phone's volume bar, an eighth note symbol inside a light gray circle nestled flush at the bottom of a darker gray, rounded column.

The same volume bar but now the circle is squished flat on top, keeping rounded edges like an inverse meniscus, the top of the shape rising scarcely 3 pixels above the stem of the eighth note. Disturbing
