A green circlehead who lives in an abandoned arcade at a small town abandoned due to a major laboratory leak years ago. He turns it into an arcade and tech repair shop business in the day and rests upstairs in his living quarters to play games and build PCs!

It could be that I'm playing on an LCD TV, but I heard that even people playing this on CRT and emulator still struggle, and there's no timing/soflan calibrator here

Which I can give it a bit of a slack, this was the very first rhythm game for a console, and they laid some foundation on it

I have finally PaRappa'd and now I finally believe... in the janky timing lol

To the point where game companies now with proper subsidiaries charging 1/3 of their average monthly salary for places like Latin America & Southeast Asia with very little regional pricing, I think it would be a more interesting scenario to take a look at
fareydonch501.bsky.social
I appreciate the video essays on game pricing, especially US-centric ones but sometimes I do wish that there was a video essay discussing video game pricing in minor markets and the complexities of it, from parallel imports and distributor shenanigans

100%ed Astro's Playroom few days ago, they weren't kidding that little scrungly robot was peak

TIL bootleg DualSense Charging Stations exist now, surprised nobody has talked about these before

found these in Indonesian stores going for like 15 USD, but I'd imagine it does the same job just fine

They're demolishing a food hawker center to make way for Super Nintendo World, or are they? Things seem to be finally happening in Universal Studios Singapore? I've covered a little bit about this topic down below!

Is Super Nintendo World Singapore finally under construction?
When Nintendo and Singapore’s Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) announced in 2019 about Super Nintendo World in Universal Studios Japan Osaka, it…

I got a package in the mail from a game store and the shipping box it came in with was a repurposed Nintendo shipping master brown box for a bulk of Switch 2 JoyCon 2s, and it actually says SEA (Southeast Asia) on the box lol

I have never seen Nintendo SEA master boxes before

once Super Nintendo World Singapore opens up will they still call the restaurant Toadstool's Cafe or Encik Toad's Hawker
fareydonch501.bsky.social
Just a little Southeast Asian Xbox thing, I did not know that the Xbox Series controllers sold in Indonesia now carry the Kominfo SDPPI seal of approval & anti-tamper warning stickers on the box

Tiktok stop enshittifying Tokopedia and force everyone to move to Tiktok Shop challenge (impossible)

I feel like Nintendo acknowledges PH more via new distributors & promised eShop compared to VN, which is seen just as a factory for consoles sold in the US

A Filipino subsidiary might not be in their agenda now, but if they want an eShop that supports local currency, that might change in the future
fareydonch501.bsky.social
A realization just struck me that if they have Super Nintendo World Singapore ready in the next few years, that means we might also be getting Southeast Asian Toad Cafe food lol

Please I want Chef Toad's Bowser Lava Laksa or Dry Dry Nasi Lemak or something, I would try them out

People are apparently reporting that they're clearing up the Malaysian Food Street corner in Universal Studios Singapore to make way for Super Nintendo World

It's happening

Ever since Nintendo arrived in Southeast Asia through distributor Active Boeki 39 years ago in 1986, Nintendo has finally opened an official Southeast Asian subsidiary, Nintendo Singapore Pte. Ltd., with Nintendo Thailand to come soon

It's happening, SEA Nintendo fans rejoice

[Southeast Asia]

Nintendo is establishing "Nintendo Singapore Pte. Ltd.", a new subsidiary in Singapore with the aim of "accelerating Nintendo’s business in Southeast Asia".

Nintendo is also considering establishing a local entity in Thailand.

This is huge for Southeast Asian Nintendo history, as this will be the very first Nintendo title for their main console to be officially translated into a Southeast Asian language! Congrats to the Thai localization team in Kyoto
fareydonch501.bsky.social
And the thing is they have to - Indonesia's recent video game regulation makes it mandatory for video game companies to open up a local entity/subsidiary and is required for video game rating assessment by Komdigi's IGRS

There's a chance that Nintendo can do it in Indonesia
fareydonch501.bsky.social
If Nintendo can open up a local entity in Singapore and especially Thailand for most likely localization purposes, then nothing stops them on doing the same in Indonesia since they're gonna need Indonesian localization teams as well if they ever plan to do it fully

Today I learned the Japanese name for The Naked Gun movie is literally "the man who carries a naked gun" (裸の銃を持つ男, hadaka no juu o motsu otoko)
