Iraq’s Counter-Terrorism Service has confirmed the elimination of Omar Abdulqader Bassam, also known as Abdulrahman al-Halabi — a top 1S1S leader. Al-Halabi was responsible for the group’s operations and external security.
More than 11 years after the Ezidi genocide committed by 1S1S in Sinjar, yet another victim has been discovered near the Girzarak complex barrier.

Recently, several tents caught fire, destroying all the belongings of displaced families. This tragic incident highlights the daily risks and unsafe environment that Ezidi people are forced to live in.

According to my friend and relative in Australia, the Ezidi religion and ethnicity have now been officially recognized in Australia’s census classifications and will be included in the 2026 population census.
Once again, the Ezidi community is being targeted with hate speech and harmful misrepresentations, labeling us falsely as “devil worshippers.”

In Khanki village, Nineveh province in Iraq, the receding waters of the Mosul Dam have revealed a breathtaking discovery: an Ezidi cemetery dating back more than 5,000 years.
