We had a brilliant day with Falkirk’s newest cohort of primary teachers - getting to grips with Global Citizenship Education, where it sits as part of Learning for Sustainability in the 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 curriculum + trying out some methodologies to help learners make sense of the big issues in our shared world 🌍

During this week’s core sessions we focussed on the key elements that contribute to successful writing lessons.We explored stages of the writing process including exploration of resources & how to include opportunities for meaningful feedback.Our Halloween themed context brought added excitement! 🎃

This week we explored planning using the Literacy Progression Pathways to meet the needs of all learners. We then took time to share our own weekly plans with our peers and discussed our non negotiables and personal choice when it comes to creating our own plans. 📔
