This was one of my proudest work! It's Hackmon from Appmon! I tried applying the blocking technique for the first time. I think I learned it from one of @adamcyounis.bsky.social's video. Some details are a little off, but I really liked the depth and texture of this art piece.

Just a simple PICO-8 logo I recreated. I was deeply interested and was researching PICO-8 in depth at the time. I wish to create my own game on it someday.

I attempted to draw Terriermon in the same style as Kumamon using the same PICO-8 palette after that. I abandoned the project at the time because I failed to figure out how to draw depth and details with just a few colors. But now that I look back, it actually looks decent.

This was the art analysis I did for Kumamon. I'm not really sure whether my analysis were correct (would love to hear pointers from experienced artists). I feel a little more proficient with deciphering art afterwards. It was interesting to understand how each pixel contribute to the entire piece.

Just realized the pronunciation Fee-yay written here may be a little misleading. It should be pronounced fast. So it's more precise to pronounce it as Fei, but with a short and subtle (i) in between, like this: F(i)ei! 🤗

As a hardcore Digimon fan since I was a child, I can't help but start my pixel art journey from something I love. Here's an art I did by referencing Digimon official socmed account's pfp. I tried adding in Digimoji. Trying to simplify them was a fun and insightful process.

This is my redraw of Kumamon from Digimon World 3 created by artist @pixelboogsy. I studied the reference, then redrew it blind without reference. This is my first study. I am extremely proud of this work. It is one of my first completed art that looks polished.
