Curiously, petroleum being “rescued” from ships “carrying narcotics” and a civil war leading to a sharp increase in oil prices - all by coincidence.

Spurious correlation?

How many million liters of petroleum were “rescued” across the ocean in the past months? Who is going to sell them?

2025 was, by far, the most challenging year of my life so far. Hopefully, some of the challenges will not happen again 😅, while others will have a lifelong positive impact.
I would like to wish everyone a wonderful New Year.
Let’s work together to make the world a better place for all.

Definitely happy being promoted to the full professor position at my university and celebrating with my family and my students. It has been a long way until here, fulfilled by amazing people around me and opportunities that shaped my career so far. Thank you.
Looking forward for the next chapter!

Here’s the map of National Biomechanics Day 2025 events registered with The Biomechanics Initiative! 🌍

What a global celebration of movement and science. Did you know that 2026 NBD is celebring its 10th anniversary?

Can we make it even bigger in 2026?

Lots of love and genuine care — that’s what I found waiting for me when I returned to the lab today after almost three weeks on leave. As Walter Herzog always says, it’s not about papers, it’s about people.

Welcome back prof. Felipe.

Thank you 🙏

MGM Center of Human Movement Science (Navi Mumbai) is celebrating 10 years! Honored to share a few words on behalf of ISB.

I couldn’t attend in person, but recording a video brought back memories & reflections on the science we do in EDCs — and why we do it.

Congrats to the MGM team! 🎉

You know why life seems to pass so fast?
It’s because we expect AI to give us more time… only to use it to work even more.
And while we’re still in 2025, things we expected for 2029, 2030, even 2023 are already being planned — because nobody slows down, and nobody wants to fall behind.

Genuine question:

How long does it take to register a patent when the process is handled together with your university’s technology office? We’ve been battling bureaucracy for almost 10 months now — and it seems far from an end.
