MLK advocated for reparations in the last 2 years of his life. Whenever the topic of reparations gets brought up, for some reason there always seems to be dozens of excuses for why black people don't deserve reparations despite the fact that other groups were given reparations with less pushback.

We live in a world where most people see the world through what is called "White Defaultism" aka "White Habitus." That means most people are conditioned to see whiteness in general as the default standard for normality. It's why you have so many people so eager to demonize diversity in media.
