Sitting in the Mittelbau/Post-Doc Meeting at #DGS2025 right now and my perspectives for sustainable work positions in academia are looking bleak, I gotta admit 🫠

There's a palpable air of defeated cynicism in this room, and I can't fault anyone for it. Not really looking forward to post-doc life 💀

VRC valorizes individuality and experimentation, which likely translates over to how ppl express themselves musically. There are incentives to constantly transform one's sound to keep up with global and intercultural crowds.

Not so much the case IRL, where in-groups and tastes stay more rigid.
