For example: I dislike Venat a lot (she's an incredible character! I love her character!). But I held a more negative view of her based on misremembering something she says on Elpis. My memory made it damning. The actual text? A totally reasonable reaction by her that informed a choice I still hate.
Part of being a good lore hound and claiming media literacy is understanding that you need to accept when and where the text proves you wrong.
It means revisiting the source material and being honest about if your interpretation is biased by an agenda.
This is important IRL too, BTW.
