When you feel more confident, you'll start your own original projects. Decompose problems to very small tasks, the answers will be easier to find. If you have friends who learn with you it will be more fun!
Gamejams are also a great opportunity to find inspiration and accelerate the learning process

Try following a few global tutorials to learn a specific tool (GMTK flappy bird tutorial for unity, Brackeys tutorial for Godot), even udemy courses
Try to remake small games like snake or anything to learn the basics, and from small project to small project you will discover more and more stuff.
