FERC approves construction of major LNG export terminal in Cameron County, Texas

FERC seal Expanding LNG Infrastructure
FERC has approved the construction of the Texas LNG Brownsville 
export terminal on a 625-acre site. It will have access to natural gas from the Permian Basin and Eagle Ford areas. The facility will produce 
4 million metric tons of LNG every year for export, and the proposed project will be consistent with other industrial facilities along the shoreline.

Expanding in Phases
The project will be built in two phases. Each phase will process about 0.309 Billion cubic feet(BCF) per Day of natural gas and include 
one liquefaction train and a storage tank. 
Peak Liquefaction Capacity: Up to 204.4 BCF per year of natural gas
Storage Tank Capacity: Approximately 210,000 cubic meters of LNG
Liquefaction Train Capacity: 2.0 MTPA of LNG

Comprehensive Environmental Review 
Key U.S. agencies involved in review included Department of Energy, Army Corps of Engineers, Environmental Protection Agency, Federal Aviation Administration, Fish and Wildlife Service, National Park Service, and National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration.
