Been doing a few run-throughs of my @blowupradio.gardenstate.social.ap.brid.gy Banding Together live set & realized the backing tracks I recorded are at faster tempos than the original versions...so I'm way under my time limit. Do I quickly throw in a cover?

But what I didn't realize is that the word "eventually" is quite prominent in "Love Conquers All" — a song with a similar theme as well. I think it's interesting that I subconsciously used a similar vocal part in a song called "Eventually." (5/5)

Well, I was streaming some 80s Yes the other day & some suggested songs followed. One was "Love Conquers All," which appeared on 1991's YesYears & on the 2000 album Conspiracy by Chris Squire & Billy Sherwood. And that's where I found the similar "oh" vocals I added to "Eventually"... (4/5)

So when I decided to record a "power pop" version of "Eventually," I realized the bridge couldn't stay as is so I replaced it with a partial breakdown and a new "oh oh oh" vocal part...which seemed familiar after I recorded it, but I couldn't quite place what influenced it... (3/5)

"Eventually" was originally written as a piano ballad around 1988/89. The bridge had never been fleshed out until I recorded this demo of it in 2012. But they were still lyrics written by teenage me and they were now cringe... (2/5)

This is something I originally wrote in the late 1980s, but always thought it had a sort of 1970s feel to it. I had written lyrics for the first verse and chorus, but my friend Christian Beach, at one

Hey there...been a bit quiet recently, but that should change soon. Hoping to wrap up a video for one of the songs from Off You Pop! since I haven't really pushed that EP since releasing it in May.

Anyway, I have a story to tell about "Eventually (Love Is the Answer)" from that same EP... (1/5)

"Trumpet's Not My Thing" is an instrumental version of my 2024 WXPN Song Challenge entry "Summer's Not My Thing," based on a prompt of "summertime." I played a little trumpet for that song—playing it for the first time in nearly 40 years. This time, I used it as a lead instrument...just for fun.

"Beyond Forever" was my warm-up song for the 2024 WXPN 24-Hour Song Challenge. The original version appears on my 2024 EP, Open Your Eyes. The '24-Hour Songs' version is more acoustic-ish.

"Look What You've Done to Me" was written around May 20, 2025, as a warmup for this year's WXPN 24-Hour Song Challenge.

"A Brand New Day" was written for WXPN's 24-Hour Song Challenge. A prompt of "belong" was announced at noon EDT on May 31 and songs had to be submitted via video entry by noon EDT June 1.

At the start of June, I entered a 24-hour songwriting challenge based on the prompt “belong.” “A Brand New Day” was the result. I have written & recorded 4 songs in a span of 24 hours since June 2024, so I put together a collection of those songs — for just $1 — for #BandcampFriday

Four years ago today, I released a collection of poorly mixed songs as my debut EP, A Matter of Time. My mixing hasn't improved much, if at all, but here's a new mix of the EP's lead track, "What a Time to Be Alive" because we're still living in a nightmare.

Thanks to @BlowUpRadio.gardenstate.social.ap.brid.gy and @newjerseystage.com for the mention of "How Dare You Call Yourself Justice" — my techno-industrial rant against the Christofascist SCOTUS majority from last year that still holds true today. And the town where I live still honors Alito! 🤬

Welp...looks like I need to write/record an even angrier follow-up to this song, because...holy shit, this SCOTUS is fucking fascist as hell...
