Those working in SARCs across England & Wales will be aware that they must comply with the FSR's Statutory Code of Practice by 02 October 2025.

The Blue Guidelines (last updated March 2020) are due for review. We are forming a working group to lead the update, addressing the ongoing challenges HCPs face in managing substance use disorders in police custody. It is essential that the Blue Guidelines are updated to assist HCPs in this role
