The Freedom From Religion Foundation is a national 501 (c)(3) nonprophet nonprofit, with 40,000 nonreligious members working to keep state and church separate.
When you’re a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

When you’re a Christian nationalist, everything looks like persecution.
In a lawsuit, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton claims a state agency is discriminating against Christians who want to advertise in the Driver’s Handbook.

Small problem: The handbook doesn't run ads. For anyone.

Here’s how pliable bible-based “morality” is: she swerved right past “thou shalt not kill” and found a verse to justify killing someone for defying authority.

If your ethics can be weaponized that easily, it’s not morality.

If the Founders were Christian nationalists, they did a spectacularly bad job of writing a Christian Constitution.

-banned religious tests (Article VI)

-wrote zero references to Christianity in the Constitution

-made the First Amendment bar government preference for one religion
Indiana Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith claims that every single one of the Founding Fathers "by today's standards, would be labeled a far-right Christian nationalist."

Blatant religious bigotry and textbook Christian nationalism.

This is exactly what the framers rejected.

Article VI bans religious tests for office, and the First Amendment protects religious freedom for all, not just Christians.
Christian nationalist Joshua Haymes declares that America was founded exclusively for Christians and therefore Hindus like Vivek Ramaswamy "should not hold public office": "We must not permit demon worshipers to hold public office in our nation."

For those who insist the term “Christian nationalism” is made up or just an attack on Christians, here’s the difference.

This is Christian nationalism.

It is radically different from the faith of most Christian Americans, historically and today.

We don’t think holy books belong in government ceremonies, but officials are free to use one.

Cheering an oath on your book while attacking another isn’t about tradition.

It’s religious discrimination.
There is no law that says elected officials must swear their oaths on a Bible.

Zohran Mamdani’s Qur’an oath didn’t violate the Constitution.

The reactions from Christian Nationalists show just how many of them are ignorant of that.

www.friendlyatheist.com/p/zohran-mam...
Zohran Mamdani's Qur’an oath was perfectly legal. Christian Nationalists can't handle that.
The backlash to Mamdani's swearing-in ceremony has nothing to do with the Constitution and everything to do with religious privilege
