his old law firm hire him and then he said he hired him for the city. So they have some past professional connections.

I believe that billboard is owned by the property owner, and has not been leasing it to any advertising agencies in many years. they seem to only use it for their own personal political messages and tolerated graffiti, as you can see this isn’t even a billboard just pasted up posters.

I won’t be voting for her. but this year it’s very much felt like the media, the state DFL and every political org out there is sending the message that everything could get so much worse if Frey looses, so I’d better use my vote to prevent the horde of lunatics from taking over.

15 people are running. to have a debate where this many questions on homelessness and deliberately have a candidate who they know struggles with articulation and will bring up her homelessness experience. That feels like intentional condescending framing of the issue on the part of the org.

she said the city should “take over” a nursing home? none of the candidates or moderators responded at all. As a voter the message feels like no one takes her seriously or wants to engage and the moderators only wanted her there to take up time and to create urgency by reducing response time.

At best, the DFL’s CBRC determined inefficiencies resulting from a digital voting software. Their determination did not find the delegation in violation of anything during the rules suspension. So a full suspension, and revocation of an endorsement vote is totally out of proportion.

It’s fascinating stuff, been reading about the Minneapolis mayoral race of 1937. the FL incumbent mayor loosing endorsement, and it all occurred during a contentious cemetery workers strike, Floyd Olson died in 36’ and the one year later memorial celebration was moved to powder horn park.

Speaking of rewatches. I’m in the midst of a John from Cincinnati rewatch. I still think it’s the best HBO show no one watched. Very much holds up as mid 00s tv. I’m curious if Milch had some secret leverage to force HBO into letting him make it, as punishment for them cancelling deadwood.

If Frey looses, his three chief stooges will
need new jobs. So it makes sense to get the MNGOP already parroting their preferred anti MPLS narratives. it’s sowing the seeds for future employment aspirations on senate and gubernatorial campaigns led by an anti MPLS DFL candidates.
