I didn't think I'd like Metroid when I first tried Super Metroid on the SNES. I'd never heard of it.

Life as a gamer changed from that point onwards. Metroid has been my favourite series of all time since then.

Buy it. Try it. At least once.

I spent the day today reorganizing the UI of RKR. The first image is the new UI, and the second is the old UI.

I think everything looks more organized and I'm quite happy with it!

A little almost spoiler-free peek at what I've been working on today 👀

Everything you see here is pure prototype- no final art, just placeholders so I can get the code working as fast as possible. Speed first, polish later.

I think the biggest thing for me this week is that I managed to start the biggest hurdle of my project; the final boss.

I've started with some dev art and got the basic loop down. It's just a matter of time before I share it with the world!!

I love the extra decor! I always find it difficult to fill my environments with the "unnecessary" details, and it takes away a lot of life from my environments.

I just added a leaderboards button to the main menu in RKR - Rush Kill Repeat!

The pedestals are supposed to look like shotgun shells... Can you see it?

Players will be able to compete weekly for ultimate glory.

What's your favourite video game moment? Something that blew your mind when you first saw it?

For me, it's probably the Psycho Mantis boss from Metal Gear Solid. If you don't know, then I recommend experiencing it for yourself 😝

I just wrote the BEST ending for my game.. It might be the best thing I've ever written.

I've got a tab for:
- My game's "MUST DO BEFORE RELEASE"
- My game's "Probably scope creep"
- Feedback for all of my projects are in one doc
- A general "TODO" list

Every gun you find in my game can spawn with boosts or downgrades.

Even a "bad" gun might be worth it because you can upgrade it and turn it into a monster over time!

What's your playstyle? Chase the perfect gun, or fix up the broken ones?
