All thinks considered, I had a very neutral year. Some highs, some lows, but it will end up being quite forgettable. Which is why perspective is important; a lot of people I know would have killed for a "normal" year, so I'm thankful for it nonetheless. Here's to a great 2026 for you all! 🎆

Soft lobbing terminology like "partner" and "his boyfriend" in front of my parents at dinner to see how they react. The dirty looks are gone but the eye twitch and follow up question "oh so he's gay?" in that condescending tone is still there. But still, progress is progress
