Went in to #vote and was about to open my bag to get out my ID when the election official told me no need, I was “one of the regulars”.

I’m not watching it, and I haven’t heard any of the songs (so far as I know), but I’ll be spitting if Finland don’t win #Eurovision

Watched S02 Ep02 of The Last Of Us. Spoiler-free emotion:

What the fuck?? This show is so dark, holy shit.

Bella Ramsey is an incredible actor.

Oooohhh
Shameless self-promotion: the Tantor audio books of the Deverry series are really really well-done. Narrator Ruth Urquhart has consulted with me on pronunciations, too. She's an excellent reader all round.

More fun today in A&E at the Lourdes hospital - nothing showing up on x-rays, and a scary wait for blood test results, but diagnosis is possibly hairline fractures on my ribs or internal bruising, and prescription is "really good pain meds"

Btw - everybody I spoke with was awesome

So this (headline only, I haven't read the article) made me think that Musk was planning a bid for US President, except of course he can't because he isn't born in the US.

But then - does Project 2025 (also not read, I am a Not Well Person) say anything about presidential criteria?
You have got to be kidding me...

James is on a tech support call to his mum, overheard gems so far:

"Shift insert hasn't been the command to paste something for decades"

"You don't need me to come round just to paste a password for you!"

The dog who used to be my dog has rolled in something so revolting that I wish it had been fox shit instead. Or even decomposed mole.

There is not enough wine in the world to cope with this.

I’m really glad that she is taking this further. The practice of just making shit up and spreading it around (and I kind of include the couch stuff too) just has to stop.

Truth has to start mattering again.

HEY!!! Can everyone do me a favor and report this kickstarter???

This is a new level of KS fraud, I am not affiliated with it whatsoever, and I don't want anyone to be scammed thinking its my book. Link below for reporting.

Thanks :')

Our dog Leia, who died in October 2022, had a pattern matching skill to rival most humans.

She used to get to lick the spoon used to ladle crème fraiche into a meal, and would know before I remembered that a recipe required it.

I’d be slicing mushrooms, and she’d lie down, ready for the spoon fest

Also me: my hair is really pretty

Forgot to mention - this meant about an hour sleep early this morning, none last night, none since then
Life continues un-fun.

Massive toothache kicks in yesterday evening, trip to emergency dentist today. Barely controlling with all the OTC pain meds I have.

3 hours waiting (I am okay with this, it was first come first served on a Saturday), xray and… tooth to be extracted 1/2
