it should be said that the relationship between MS and epstein barr is still a relatively new discovery, and that we had no idea what caused MS before that, and other herpes viruses might have similar long term chronic health effects without us knowing about it.
In terms of what cures are being lost:
- Epstein-Barr virus is perhaps the major trigger for multiple sclerosis
- herpes simplex virus causes cold sores, genital herpes, infections in babies, deadly meningitis
- shingles virus causes an intensely painful disease

There's already a nasty Daily Mail article as well, and I sincerely hope this doesn't result in a worldwide backlash akin to Imane Khelif's case.

We need to generalize the understanding that people who hold power over us being contradictory is very often just them just assertions of power. It goes from a president openly lying, to a men not listening to women in everyday lives. They are, very often, not that dumb, it's all power moves
