Noone has to like the idea of burning buildings or stuff, especially the public safety risk it represents.

But it's just a fact that it's an extremely commonplace feature of public rebellion for a whole bunch of good and bad reasons.

Burning places and stuff is an extremely consistent thing that happens in mass public rebellions. It can serve as area denial, it can serve to destroy regime resources, it can sometimes just be vandalism. But it's a fact of numerous uprisings.

This is the same tactic the Assad regime used when trying to rebrand its image to the world. They would take influencers to the same locations and give them the same “facts” to promote to their audience. (2)

They may argue otherwise, but these influencers are 100% with a minder. If Bushra and Calla were simply exploring Iran alone, they wouldn’t just happen to be spewing the exact same regime talking points in the exact same locations. (1)

Fake leftists crying about how "peaceful protestors don't throw Molotov cocktails" while doing propaganda about Iran should tell you a few things about optics politics and its abuses within the Western left.

“The SAVE America Act, which passed in the U.S. House this week, would require proof of citizenship to vote, and could potentially prevent millions of people from casting their ballots”

Noem discounted concerns about voter impacts as "baseless speculation from the radical left."

Noem said undocumented immigrants are voting. The reality is those cases are rare.

This is something the Nazis used to do to Jewish children in the camps. It happened to a man I knew when he was a child in Auschwitz. The camp guards thought it was funny as hell.
On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

hannibal lecter killed fewer people by orders of magnitude too
The difference between Ronald Reagan and Hannibal Lecter is that Hannibal Lecter had a moral code
Governor Newsom proclaims Dr. Hannibal Lecter Day

When asked, Gov. Newsom said that Dr. Lecter "had a great taste in people".

He then went onto Ben Shapiro's podcast and agreed with him on everything.

elon musk polling below fuckin bibi here is hilarious though
A poll last summer found that Bernie Sanders was the only politician from any party who was viewed favorably by a majority in the US. AOC was the second most popular politician. Newsom was tied with J.D. Vance at -11, and only slightly ahead of Pete Hegseth.

i think nominating Gavin Newsom will lose the White House again for Democrats. The party's left flank will stay home again because he's an empty corporate shell. The age of Democrats punching left to appeal to the center is over and it's now a matter of if the party as a whole realizes that or not.

Supporting Gavin Newsom in the primary is announcing that you'll step over the dead bodies of trans people and unhoused people to get what you personally want. It's a character defect. We can't be friends.

I feel like it's a good time to restate that my rapist was never prosecuted by the Republican DA at the time for Tarrant County in Texas, who served for 3 decades. In fact he had some of the lowest prosecution rates for SA and rape cases. Republicans have always defended rapists and predators.
The complete refusal from the Department of Justice and FBI to investigate the allegations in the Epstein Files and made by Epstein survivors is also proof of what victims everywhere go through every day when authority figures refuse to do anything about what happened to them

Technical debt doesn't arrive in staff cuts meaning everything turns off. It arrives as one person trying to automate 10 people's jobs and maintaining a behemoth by the skin of their teeth, for a little while.

But those 10 employees were productive engineers, and you can't innovate under resourced
