And so it came to pass that all Linux servers where managed by 16 year olds.

Especially annoying when I made no claim.

I was not aware you had a youtube channel. Subscribed.

I feel editor support is still not quite where I would want it for json imports like I could see myself perhaps loading a json for containing a generated json schema. But currently that is not very useful as the type of the json is not const (at least last i checked).

So like the svelte reactivity approach then. Makes sense.

In my opinion the @{} is fine I'm less certain about the component keyword that seems like it will create years of js spec trouble

I would have liked do expressions in js would have been nice

While for in is valid js I assume you meant for of here?

Only one at a time I always need a bit of time to get comfy again. But feel confident that I could get back to around 4 relatively quickly then more the more time I'm given.

Interesting I still prefer to import each function I'm using so it's more clear for myself but nice to know it's an option.

I see more and more examples doing a wildcard import instead of importing individual function is that just to fit it on screen or would tree-shaking still work here?

I don't currently need it for anything but I do like the idea of doing some more rpc or websocket style, or perhaps lazy json where I could start sending to level properties and then pick the fields I wanted more detail for, at least I see potential for smarter serialization schemes

Not seen that trick before that is pretty nifty. I wonder if I could make angular 1 style directive like thing using this.

Using LLM for code is like getting a student with a background in math but had never solved a problem in their life and copy paste code from stack overflow to solve their problem never seeing any shared similarity between tasks. It's better at using math words though.

Seems more like a feature than a bug

I think no. It kinda falls into the same area as custom select. But there might be some other pattern like fΓΈr example a checkbox list that could do the job depending on what you are trying to do. You could of course use <select> but calling it good would be over stating it.

Yeah I have to set alarms so that I don't forget but you can leave some days without alarms so that you can actually focus, I feel I focus better on an empty stomach

Interesting for me it happened pretty recently that I just started getting shown a bunch of stuff 10 years ago. I thought it might have happened after I toggled past history once

Only tangentally related but youtube seems to struggle to detect that I have watched videos so I have started to like videos to mark them as read for myself

The speed of rumours still not out running the speed of bad news then.

I mean I'm Nordic and it's definitely like that but it has more nuance to it if you care.
December 7, 2024 at 1:56 PM
Well at least you get it out of the way I suppose.
December 7, 2024 at 11:24 AM
True but I was thinking specifically of the parts that are html or css, like the <template> tag or the ::slotted selector even though I realize I should not have called them apis.
November 26, 2024 at 9:42 AM
The parts that are javascript yes. But webcomponents also include a bunch of html and css apis. So in aggregate no.

Hi πŸ‘‹. I'm a webdev I've worked with webcomponents for longer than most. I know both the good and bad. I also enjoy new tech and coffee. And will happily talk about the subjects above over coffee also anime.
