as a GNC woman I really see myself in Frankie. I get so excited every time I see a woman protagonist who's buff, brash, unkempt & doesn't wear makeup or skirts. she doesn't have to look like Barbie to be cis. & a name can just be a name! I'm really glad a girl like her gets to be in the spotlight. 🧡

I'm unemployed and I quit my Etsy store (the source of like 50% of my income) bc I was sick of making a living from producing meaningless plastic slop. I can't believe I'm Built Different to a literal indie art powerhouse

if you want to make indie merch, that's fine. just try not to make the kind of stuff that's going to clog up a landfill for the next thousand years. it's really not that hard to make cool art while avoiding becoming miniature venture capitalists

my partner suggested that if #glitchprod really wanted to get funding from merch sales, they had the opportunity to do something cool, like selling OOAK production art or unique sketches from the art teams. posters, paper stickers, zines or art books... all cheaper to produce & easier on the enviro

there are new merch drops for literally EVERY new TADC episode. name ANY other franchise that has EPISODE-SPECIFIC MERCH for *EVERY SINGLE EPISODE*.

all art has a price, both to the creators and to the environment. but what they're doing honestly strikes me as greedy, unnecessary & ridiculous

the thing about #glitchprod is that they make themselves out to be this ✨haven✨ of independent animation, fueled by pure passion alone, but that's not true. they're running an extremely lucrative business model, obtaining both funding AND profit through excessive merch drops of marketable garbage

it's also made out of environmentally unsustainable materials like plastic/enamel/polyester! both things are EXACTLY what the show is trying to criticize!

Glitch should at the very least have a moral freaking backbone and stand by the ethical messages of the art that they're creating. 🤷‍♀️

it definitely would've been successful! IT'S BY DANA FREAKING TERRACE! also - merchandise doesn't come out of thin air! the majority of it is made through outsourced labour by underpaid workers in highly exploited countries like China!

I'm really moved by how much of the stream was Toby Chara gushing ... I'm really moved by how much of the anniversary fanart has been about Chara (& Frisk/Asriel/Flowey) ... my 16-18 year old self finally feels a little more at home in the world ... 🌻🍫🔪
