The beams cast dust motes in an array of a celestial dance, twirling and floating in a showcase of beauty. And still, in the quiet morning, with just the breath of the two men paused in the clash of sword against spear, Achilles felt still. The face of his heart, Patroclus, was frozen in awe at him; his eyes soft against the sunrise, featherdown for his own gaze to fall into. The pools of hazel were drinking in every flicker of his face and as such, a small smile of affection crept at the end of Patroclus' lips. This, pressed against each other in the training pit, was an ethereal experience, a divine right, a selection of time stopped for just the two of them.
