i think a problem that many fandoms have (esp deltarune) is the idea that every single detail has to be super important and deep. especially when their only counter is "it cant just mean nothing!!" (yes it can) or "just let ppl have fun!!" (despite going feral when someone has a different theory)

something that many deltarune fans misunderstand about darkner knight is that the theory isnt saying that the knight is secretly some guy we never heard of before, its saying that the knight isnt secretly *anyone*. there is no mystery. no twist. its just the knight. i find that much more horrifying

i feel like friend wouldnt be connected to so many theories if the whole mike thing never happened. people wanted friend to be mike, and so they acted as if friend was an individual. even though its more likely now its more of a species or minion rather than a guy, ppl still act like its one person

Something i think is funny about gaster is how theres next to zero solid evidence of his importance *in game*. All the evidence ppl use is outside of the game, even tho toby has stated that things outside the game arent canon. The arguement always ends up being "well it cant just mean NOTHING"

theres a solid chance that toby originally intended for kris to speak in deltarune, given the talking sprites in the concept art. this is made especially funny when you consider that a possible reason for removing their speaking was to make it more like undertale and not for any story reason
