Our 2024 Annual Report is now available on our website! And we are proud to share last year’s service figures. These figures capture the incredible impact our teams make, and the immense challenges we face, to achieve justice for our clients and all immigrants.

Upon hearing of the plan, our team jumped into action to ensure that all children detained in Arizona understand their rights, are prepared with as much information as possible, and know that they can call on us for support if they are approached by the government with this coercive plan.

Every child deserves to have their story heard, has the right to due process and the opportunity to talk to an attorney, and to have the chance to live in peace and safety. Once again, the administration is enacting secretive policies that harm children under the guise of child welfare.

If children do not agree, the government will reportedly inform them that they will remain detained indefinitely, threaten to automatically transfer them to ICE custody on their 18th birthdays in violation of the law, and even possibly threaten to detain their parents or sponsors in the U.S.

We are deeply alarmed by reports that the government is rolling out a plan to attempt to incentivize unaccompanied children to waive their rights under the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (TVPRA) and accept "voluntary" return to their country of origin in exchange for $2500.

The lawsuit demands that the government be ordered to follow the laws that provide protections for unaccompanied children, including the right to present their cases in court, to have access to legal counsel, and to be placed in the least restrictive setting that is in the best interest of the child

On Sept. 25, a federal judge in Arizona granted a preliminary injunction protecting 69 unaccompanied immigrant children from Guatemala and Honduras in government custody in Arizona from being summarily repatriated from the U.S. without having the chance to present their case to an immigration judge.

We hope you reaffirm your commitment to stand with the children, adults, and families that we have the privilege to serve through our legal and social services and advocacy. We encourage you to continue harnessing your own gifts, talents, and privilege to stand with immigrant communities.

We stand together in unwavering solidarity with immigrant communities to answer the call for courageous action. This moment demands that we ask: What is my part? What can I do?

We invite you to read our 2024 annual report and take inspiration from all that we accomplished together last year.

As we reflect on all that your support made possible in 2024, we do so amid a campaign of dehumanization targeting immigrant communities and a dismantling of protections that safeguard immigrants’ rights. In this moment, we may be overwhelmed and feel despair and powerlessness. But no one is alone.

Based on 278 conversations with people who have been recently deported, the findings highlight how ICE activity in our communities is tearing apart families, detaining long-term U.S. residents, and subjecting people to prolonged and unjust detention.
