Account icon and username was seemingly identical. BUT a letter was changed, the account was brand new, and it referenced my OWN comment that i just posted. Silly robot 🤖🔫(｡･ω･｡) money is for real people

it will then create a spoof account made to look like the artist to send a link for payment to an external account.

Easiest way to avoid this is just confirm the account that you ORIGINALLY contacted as the spoof account will most likely be brand new or have an altered name ; W ; stay safe!

Yo just an FYI for artist and commisioners on here! Be careful about DMs links regarding paypal or other forms of payment. Commission skimming is something that is a problem here. There are bots that will skim comments that flag buzz words (paypal, kofi, zelle, etc.) from artist trying to sell.
