Genuine question for sociologists among us: would the Revolution or the Civil War have happened if the internet was available at the time or would people have just channeled their sense of injustice through it rather than actually do something? Has posting memes become the substitute for action?

Just remember that many Germans were ecstatic about Hitler - as long as he was winning. It wasn't until he started to lose that suddenly many of them felt perhaps they weren't really nazis after all. So it will be with Trump. The GOP & his MAGA cultists will deny they ever supported him.

I am sure that Trump and his goons will be disappointed that that Maduro was brought before a Manhattan Federal Judge instead of their pet judge Aileen Cannon who would have ensured that those pesky issues, 'procedural fairness" and "the rule of law" didn't get in the way of a conviction.

Maduro is certainly a nasty person but there is not a single accusation that could be levelled against him that could not also be made against Trump though on what we know so far, Maduro doesn't seem to have been involved in child rape nor included in the Epstein files.

I have never considered her the sharpest knife in the block but the media going into a frenzy because Susssan Ley referred to Ukraine being invaded by the "USSR" instead of "Russia", tells me it is a slow news day. 🙄
