my current rotation at left back is tight until reinforcements in january so i ended up snagging a paraguayan LB from liverpool that had been forced out of the lineup in his contract year, he's gonna be about as good as martindale is while also making sure my players don't revolt at lack of depth

dude wasn't v consistent or elite but he held the line for our best years, shoutout to david martindale

history page for david martindale with year-by-year stats - bought for $1.8m from defensor sporting, sold 6 years later for $25m to man city. never a season with a rating over 7, but a steady stream of assists and defensive work made up for it

every normal person saw this and went "oh that's a stupid fucking hire" but the media went "they're gonna win 10 games and show up all these humdrum college programs how we do it in the NFL"
