few years ago they changed/took out a line from red white and royal blue bc some readers found it harmful, so that made sense since it was a genuine concern and done for the better. but aging up the crows is a mistake and never should've been allowed. there was no issue, so why did they change it??

exactly!! there was literally no reason to take out their ages. it's such an important part. for older books, I get wanting to update references to be more modern, but is it really necessary? why can't those books just take place when they take place? not everything needs to be modernized. I know a

RIGHT?! I’m so mad about this. it completely changes the story and the characters. I’ve heard some people say it could be bc of the show, but the show shouldn’t affect the books like that. they’re separate things. regardless, making changes like that 10 years after the books were published is insane
