2/3 …little one to perk up. Because they’re so small, goldcrests don’t cope well in captivity. With it looking much better this morning, we gave it a test flight & it wasted no time showing us its flying skills!

With no medical reason to keep it, one of our volunteers was able to release it back…

1/2 It’s #NationalBadgerDay. So far this year, we’ve admitted 60 badgers, including 22 cubs. Badgers are omnivores with earthworms being around 80% of their diet. They’ll also eat invertebrates, slugs, fruit & small mammals, They especially love digging up leatherjackets which become craneflies…

A #hedgehog’s back & sides are covered in modified hairs - AKA 25mm long spines?
