An EGM is being held on Sunday I believe. If they don't appoint three new Trustees then the decision will be taken to wind the club up.

Reall worrying. It's prime real estate despite how close the site is to the railway.

If the bowling club shuts down, the land will be sold to a developer and the story of First Hampden will amount to nothing more than a plaque on the wall of some modern housing.

That can't be allowed to happen.

Yet, the origin point for football in Scotland and International football as we know it today has been left to go to the wall.

This is nationally important historical site. It is the first touchpoint for understanding how football developed in Scotland.

Hampden Bowling Club is under threat.

With dwindling memberships and a lack of wider funding support, Hampden Bowling Club, which sits on the site of the First Hampden Park, could be wound up as early as February.

For all the talk and hype around them, PSG's first outing in European football didn't go to plan.

Lokomotiv Sofia came away as winners thanks to a Petar Milanov goal and a dogged performance.

However, PSG would get their revenge in France in a dominant 5-0 annihilation.

Cliftonhill, home of Albion Rovers, 1934.

One of our favourite stadium facades.

Really shows how central football clubs are to the community and the collective.

Redbergslids were one of the many football clubs to come out in Gothenburg.

They only ever played one season in the Allsvenskan, in 1930-31, and it ended in disaster.

They were caught and punished for essentially paying their players and sent to the very bottom of Sweden's football pyramid.

✍️ New Article: Carlos Caszely

On the field he was a prolific and hard-working forward whose best spells came at Colo-Colo.

But off the field, Caszely is known for defying Augusto Pinochet and his fascist military junta.

It's Zvonimir Boban's birthday today.

His kick was said to have started the Yugoslav War.

This wasn't really the case. But it was a manifestation of the simmering ethnic and nationalist tensions which exploded following the Dinamo Zagreb-Red Star Belgrade riot that day.

'I've never been back. It's a Morrisons now but I'll never go.

To me it should still be Brockville, not a supermarket.'

- Kevin McAllister

Our stadiums are cultural spaces. They belong to us.

They deserve better than being replaced by soulless constructs like supermarkets and retail parks.

Goals from Jeremy Goss and Mark Bowen sealed a historic victory for Norwich in the UEFA Cup.

They would then take Bayern back to Carrow Road and valiantly hold them to a draw to advance.

Heady days for the Canaries.
