Premier League introduces new financial rules to replace PSR. Clubs “on-field” spending will be limited to 85 percent of their “football revenue”. They can exceed this by 30 percent in exchange for a levy for a period of time and then face sporting sanctions. The clubs rejected anchoring proposal.

The men who gave us the European Super League are back with a tweak to their Unify League idea. It’s the ‘Swiss model’ but split into 2x18 seeded groups. They want UEFA to approve it by mid-Jan & they’ve begun legal action with Real Madrid against UEFA.

Interesting decision from the CAS confirming the mandatory use of FIFA’s Legal Portal:

Real Madrid/A22 will seek significant compensation for losses from the super league fiasco after a court ruling in their/Super League promotors’ favour. My sense is this will drag on for years and will be settled with (some degree) of change to governance and control of club football competitions

Will be interesting to see what happens following the FA’s review into Billy Vigar’s death.

IMO, this was avoidable following the serious injuries sustained by Alex fletcher in 2022.

There has to be a change / ban on the use of concrete perimeters around pitches.

The FA’s charge against Sheffield United FC’s Chris Wilder (“CW”) found not proven.

The charge was brought in respect of CW kicking a ball into the crown during #SUFC's match against Southampton FC on 30.9.2025.
