I complain about movies
I’m testing a new monitor and it’s insane how many times I’ve inadvertently turned it off because the menu button is located close to the on/off switch
Just make them feel differently or spread them more apart
Do we really have to relearn the basic lessons of industrial design every 20 years?

Loved “Frankenstein”!
Give me Victorian era, the Creator vs. Creation clash, and Victorian ladies being laid to an eternal rest on a slab of marble.
Give me Alexandre Desplat’s score!
Well, who *is* the monster after all, you may be asking yourself, the sophisticated movie enjoyer.

If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

Sometimes I see comments about “performatively” hating (or liking) a movie and that’s always a funny concept to me.
What, you like a movie that much, that you cannot even begin to comprehend that someone else might genuinely not like it? That’s a difficult thing to fathom, to you?

PSA: Somehow I missed it, but the Gmail feature “Consent to Primae Noctis” is now under Settings -> Advanced -> Privacy, turned on by default.
You definitely want to turn it off

Lol, fuck off
(And yes, it’s a good idea)

Lol, I enjoyed the movie, but the “They’re just friends - until they aren’t” is a tricky line to walk/ play in a movie.
In this one, an innocent bystander irl would probably comment with either “Hey, get a room, you two” or “Wait, are those 2 f*king??”
Again, an enjoyable movie, good chemistry

This Way Up has a big heart: Really funny and uplifting - and then it makes you wonder why your eyes are misty.
Short episodes, fast-paced, lots of subverted expectations, Aisling Bea is amazing 🫶

“We”? “We” have to?

Hey, sorry folks that my shutdown negotiations strategy sucks. It’s all on me. My bad.

“Pluribus” (S1E1) started really good!
There’s a scene (mild spoiler) in which one of the characters loads a wounded person on a truck bed. The scene is given sufficient time to develop. Other script writers would probably shot it under 10 seconds.
The tone is both darkly funny and poignant

They’re literally making this into “Dylan Going Electric” affair- instead of what it really is (a big corporation going cheap and showing that saving a few bucks is paramount to everything else)

“The downsides of being public”?
If I had just been given 1 trillion in compensation, I’d marry the “being public”!
Musk: Maybe SpaceX should become public company Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk said that SpaceX "maybe at some point should" become a public company, "despite all the downsides of being public."

I think that asking hey, how come we’re told by Party A that some things cannot be done because there are rules, people won’t budge, etc. and then you see Party B going through the same rules like a hot knife through the butter is a perfectly fair question
