✈️

2nd of 2 ✈️ #PaxEx for the day. About 4hrs up front on one of the world’s best airlines to one of the world’s best airports, on an aircraft type I haven’t been on in 2025 until today…

If there’s a highlight of trying to get around Taiwan it’s taking the THSR…

And that’s when I do the traveling around on my own as my dad is too cheap to take the THSR. I mean why spend 95 mins on the train when you can spend 9hrs on a bus?

Also I’ve mentioned this before the last time I stayed here but I’ll mention it again…

There is no better amenity for a hotel than a Costco directly next door…

Apparently there’s k-pop royalty staying at my hotel tonight and more than a few teeny-boppers have been camped out in the lobby for a while just to get a glimpse of them…

It’s 12:35am on the Friday after #Thanksgiving . Remember how less than a decade ago at this time of night people would be fighting strangers in the aisles of the Walmart Superstore just for the privilege of blowing their 💴 on crap they didn’t need?

Those were the days.

When everyone else are currently overseas for various reasons, #Thanksgiving Day is a great time to get some #PaxEx miles in, if for no other reason…

Finally hit me, how shopping at an Asian supermarket and ✈️ flying to Asia have one glaring commonality…

Of the non Asian people you see at both the Asian supermarket and the flight to Asia, as far as the non visibly Asian people are concerned, about 95% are men.
November 27, 2025 at 2:53 AM
Also welcome to the day before #Thanksgiving, the day when every news source will be giving out holiday travel advice gems like “check flight status online” or “get to the airport early” and the always favorite “don’t pack prohibited items in your luggage…”

🤦🏻‍♂️

A holiday weekend observation:

Airports aren’t really that much busier this week compared to busier weeks during the summer. One major difference is it takes almost everyone 3x longer to do everything than most other weeks outside of Christmas time.

A #BayArea related #Thanksgiving #PSA:

If you’re headed to SFO tonight for whatever reason, give yourself plenty of extra time as US101 and just about every access road to and from the terminals are one giant collective dumpster fire worth of gridlock.

Italians being racist assholes? Who would’ve thought?

🙄

Actually that’s a rhetorical question because anyone who’s of East Asian background whom has spent more than a day anywhere in Italy already knows.

Don’t you love it when you book a room at a hotel you didn’t know existed but know the area where it’s allegedly located because you’ve attended events there before at a hotel you thought was a dump then it turns out that new hotel you’re at is the same place you were but under a new name?

Yup…
