I have this benchmark for search engines I like to call the Ruth Gader Binsburg test. If I insist that I am indeed searching for "Ruth Gader Binsburg", and it fails to show me any results (or shows me results for Ruth Bader Ginsburg instead), then the search engine fails the test and I do not use it

developing a theory that vibecoding can be understood analogously to successful web stacks, where there’s some weight/elegance/security/dev-knowledge loss offset by insane velocity gains
I’m going to be the old man (41) who talks about understanding the code the AI generates and being able to write it by hand. The kids will say I’m out of date, and I’ll never be sure they’re wrong. The indignity will never be lost on me that I’m talking about hand-writing god damn Javascript.
