he did not rebound in the 1st game (3 in 23 minutes) . he did get a couple of deflections, but his overall game has been below his standard even if accounting for preseason. and he's not playing very hard at all. especially in comparison to vando, clearly.

this lakers starting group is getting run out of the gym to start the 3rd quarter. the competitiveness from the 1st half is gone. warriors are playing faster + hitting 3's and just shredding the lakers lack of defense and intensity.

several things redick mentioned pregame that he didn't like from the suns game have been better in the 1st half: physicality, running discipline in early offense to fill the corners, & the team's general level of compete. had a short rough stretch in the 1st q, but better since.

the lakers two best players tonight have been gabe + vando, the two players whose health has suffered the most the past two seasons. would be great for the lakers if both returned to their previous form for this team.

bronny needs to play harder, run harder. missed a 3 and then did not race in transition back where he could have gotten back into the play and the warriors got a layup.
