For all French wine lovers, here is a nice event organised at the Hunt Museum this Thursday by O’Brien’s Wines Limerick. The J.M. Cazes family oversee several estates including the famous “wine geese” Château Lynch-Bages… French wine with an Irish touch therefore!

Created by French photographer Carl Cordonnier, FLOW explores the impact of rising waters in Ireland’s Shannon Estuary and France’s Baie de Somme, based on scientific forecasts from Climate Central and confirmed in Ireland by the Office of Public Works (OPW).

Marking the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement on climate change, FLOW is an artistic project taking place across the Shannon Estuary region from 2 to 31 Oct. This initiative combines photo, projection mapping, soundscape & workshops to raise awareness of climate issues & sea-level rise.

The twinning between the two villages is in its 27th year now. Next year it will be the turn of the Murroe side to travel to France. Every third year members of both twinning committees make a trip together to a European capital… 2/3

The twinning committee of Murroe gave a céad míle fáilte to their counterparts of Évry-Grégy last weekend. 21 inhabitants from Évry-Grégy spent a great few days visiting the region and their stay culminated yesterday evening with a special reception in Murroe’s community hall… 1/3

Just back from a trip to Huy to supervise the beginning of the removal of the 200t. of soil from the part of the site remaining to be explored and I am glad to say that ATECS, the company we contracted to do the work, have done a fantastic job!
