Awesome to meet the much loved former Aston Villa physio Jim Walker at the Aston Social last night!

Got hold of his new book 'Walker's Way' where he talks about his time at Villa and experiences as a player under Brian Clough. Can't wait to read it! #avfc #utv #astonvilla 🟣🔵

Is this now the third group of European fans we’ll have to ban from the stadium?! 😂

Put the Young Boys fans to bed. Way past their bed time. Acting like idiots. #avfc

Train cancelled at Euston naturally. Two broken down trains blocking route.

Looked at Marylebone alternative… signalling cables stolen, trains cancelled.

Good lord 😂

The one day Villa kicks off at 17:45! #avfc

Liverpool's 3-0 home loss against Nottingham Forest felt like a terminal result. A proper 'where do we go from here' moment.

It's just got a lot worse against PSV. How do they come back from this?

And HOW did Aston Villa lose to them, FFS!? #avfc

Manuel Neuer 😂 Was he studying tapes of Nick Pope at Marseille?

Can’t think of any time I’ve seen some young Brazilian genius like Estevao in English football.

These guys are always at somewhere like Barcelona or Real Madrid.

What an epic performance from Everton. They were fantastic. Buzzing for them. Pickford’s save! Aggressive from the off. Perfect.

United looked clueless about what to do. Stuck to a rigid system which seemed ill-prepared for ten men & left little room for something off the cuff.

That’s dreadful reffing. Killed the game early on. Dunno how he can think there was something bad enough to red there. Just talk to the players & tell them to calm down. Straight red, though… rubbish. #everton #efc

Had no idea about this! Some record! #avfc
Aston Villa are unbeaten in all 18 of their Premier League games against promoted sides under Unai Emery (W14 D4), with their last defeat coming in Steven Gerrard’s final game in charge in October 2022 (0-3 vs Fulham).

Still buzzing about Aston Villa's win at Leeds. Love those gritty away wins.

The exact kind of game Villa often make a meal of (& we did in the first-half, although Leeds would have made life hard for anyone with that physical intensity).

But to fight back & win was huge. #avfc

I should be able to opt out of Kevin Danso gearing up for a long throw. Where is the button to do that

Don't understand what Spurs are supposed to be this season. They continuously look like they can't play their way up the pitch.

What's the attacking plan? Danso long throws? The odd set piece?

Not sure how they're as high as they are in the league.

GET THE FECK IN!

What a finish from Morgan Rogers. Lovely work from Cash & Malen, too. UTV! #avfc

Not sure how that goal counted but Emi should do better.

Leeds have followed the Newcastle template: hard-pressing, tall, physical & aggressive. Villa haven't been able to get through them until the last five mins or so.

They may tire. Got to be more creative final third. #avfc

Aston Villa are back! We seem to perform well after intl breaks.

Have a feeling this is the kind of gritty away day we often make a meal of - think Ipswich last season or Brentford a month or so ago.

Big chance to go up the table. Watkins scoring today! UTV #avfc #utv

This is niche.

There is something about Olivia Nuzzi that’s infuriating. Always felt she’s a disingenuous character & laughably overrated writer & poser; & yet constantly gets boosted by the polite society elite (mostly older males) who for some reason let her get away with stuff few others can.

That feels like a terminally bad result for Liverpool. A genuine moment of where do they go from that? 100m+ transfers often seem cursed for whatever reason.

Got to laugh how the one club that lost to them in the league in recent times was the in-form Aston Villa. Why are we always so like that?!

Wow, 28 years, time really is zooming along, isn't it.

Hutchence was an amazing frontman for a band.

INXS were such a brilliant & unusual band. I find it hard to exactly describe what sort of music they made, but when you hear it you know it's INXS.

There is something to be said about mending the roof while the sun is shining. #AVFC are enjoying excellent form, with great long-range goals. But coaches recognise reliable underlying numbers and improving them (xG) will be a sign of sustainable form:
