Adding carbon removal to a waste to energy plant is a no brainer - excited about this first project with Hafslund Celsio!
Hafslund Celsio is building the world's first carbon removal retrofit at a waste-to-energy facility, enabled by a $30M offtake with Frontier buyers. Writ large, this approach could remove 400 million tons of CO2 per year by 2050. frontierclimate.com/writing/hafs...

Frontier has facilitated its first electrochemical DAC offtake with Phlair.

Phlair has the potential to deliver ultra low-cost DAC for a few reasons—one being that their approach is explicitly designed to work with cheap intermittent energy sources like solar.

One way to accelerate CDR deployments is by directly leveraging large scale industrial infrastructure!
CREW and CO280's projects integrate with existing industrial processes, waste water treatment and pulp and paper processing, and enable near term removal at meaningful scales!
📣Frontier facilitated offtake agreements with CO280 and CREW, two companies integrating carbon removal into existing industrial processes!
Both companies offer a model for how startups can partner with large industrial players to scale carbon removal.
