Stuff is hard to find, apps seem to have been built without the involvement of designers, a lot of interfaces from the early 2000s. American startups and big corporations invest heavily in product design and so should ours.

If #EuropeanTech and #europeanalternatives wants to compete with the American giants, one thing that needs a lot of attention is their UI/UX. I’ve been exploring a lot of services but, being honest, most of their UIs suck.

@vivaldibrowser.bsky.social there's a weird bug in the extensions pane. Most of them are not showing their icons. What could this be?

So apparently none of the big AI coding apps support or are willing to support Mistral. We need an European alternative.

European companies need better funding so they can compete with the American tech giants. Mistral is a great example that needs to grow to become a real alternative.

We need digital independence from the US. Time to look at the many existing projects in Europe and fund those who can compete with the American tech giants.

I wish they got more investment. It’s nowhere near the American LLMs and we need a good replacement, a tool that can compete with the big boys.
