Oh, hi bluesky πŸ‘‹

I am working on an open source self hosted platform for automating the hosting and deployment of applications on your own machines.

You can find the project on github here : github.com/zane-ops/zan...

And you can also find the docs of the project :

stream.place links are now supported in the Live Now beta!
OTA update rolling out today.

love what @iame.li's building. when you stream there, your LIVE status on Bluesky is auto-updated.

very cool demonstration of how Atmosphere apps can interconnect and benefit each other.

The support for docker-compose on zaneops.dev comes with free support for @dokploy.bsky.social templates πŸ˜‰, you can just copy/paste the base64 from the template and create a compose stack from it.

Here's me deploying a @penpot.app application

Everyone and I mean EVERYONE that says "claude code [or insert random AI chatbot] can write better code than me" was totally a dogshit developper/coder before AI, that's why they are mesmerized by the code generated by the machines with less memory than a goldfish.

I don’t like the concept of studying, I’ve been traumatized too much by

I usually write tests with little to no care because they can be very repetitive, but this little "agent" is happy to do it and even include little comments for me, I like it.

Good bot πŸ€–

Is this what you call "AI augmented" dev ? πŸ€”

I am starting to warm up to it, little by little, I don't think I'll ever want to delegate all my coding tasks to it, but it can be useful for test generation.

In the next version of zaneops.dev : implementing shared volumes.

You use them to access data between services, by referencing the same volume.

This is useful if you want to share assets, medias or uploads between a backend & frontend (for ex).

This way, you can even update the credentials in a single place if they expire and not have your next deployments fail.

In the next version of zaneops.dev, we will also introduce shared registry credentials, useful for when you deploy many applications from private registries, instead of having to type the username + password for each one, you can just create it once and reference it everywhere.

I'm also trying to not rely on AI to rewrite what I want to say, I've been so dependant on it that I may have lost some vocabulary and spelling skills.

Instead of being scared to sound bad or rude, I should trust myself more... I think you should too 🫡

I've noticed that I'm losing some fundamental skills, mainly how to find information and fix issues.

So I'm trying to change that by actually trying to not rely on the AI tools that much and actually looking on the web and honing my finding solutions and fixing bugs skills
