A public park in southwestern #Coquitlam will lose 40 per cent of its green space for an off-leash #dog zone.

That’s the proposal that’ll go next year before neighbours and sports user groups of Brookmere Park, a site located west of the Vancouver Golf Club on Austin Avenue.

Update: In a release issued today, Oct. 17, the provincial government stated the $39-million rebuild of Hazel Trembath Elementary in #PortCoquitlam will begin in July 2026 with occupancy by December 2027. The 240-seat school will include two kindergarten classrooms and eight elementary classrooms.
Metro Vancouver is celebrating a milestone in its $450-million Annacis water supply tunnel project.

The 2.3-kilometre-long water supply tunnel is being built under the Fraser River between New West and Surrey.
