Making 40k a main set only thing would be repulsive to me

And I think a lot of people understand why one attracts and the other disgusts despite being nominally the same thing

The same thing happened to comedy spaces that happened to tabletop RPGs: there was an internal culture war, the chuds basically won, and now they're imploding to leave the genre to be remade anew in 5 years when some podcast takes over the space and creates an entirely new audience

I'm sorry but MTG doubling down on designing for Commander, a thing no one and especially Commander players did not want, and then *scrapping standalone Commander products* is completely absurd to me. You're turning the format into your cash cow but raising the barrier for entry???
