Something I’ve always noticed/kind of liked about the PMD community when it comes to making OCs

We either slap a scarf on that thing (maybe a minor design tweak)
or
use every customization filter available

and I eat it up no matter what baby yummy yum more PMD content for me

Also good practice for me is to draw my characters in a particular video game’s sprite style so that I can learn some of the tricks and such

Working that small can be kinda tricky because you gotta think about how you boil the design down to bare essentials
A bit bigger than that and I usually start with a drawing, scale it down, and draw over it until I get something I like
