Spending a Saturday afternoon getting through painting my stash of Star Wars minis, enjoying this video while mourning the loss the Joann and access to local garment sewing craft supply stores.

Not a bad #paxu haul, and waaaayyy more packable than what I have gotten previous years. Overall, great PAX, had a lot of fun, see folks next year!

Battle of Hoth is probably one of my favorite games I picked up this weekend. Nice war game style game, but done in 30 minutes. Ton of scenarios, and you can add leader cards for additional gameplay.

Also went to a fun workshop yesterday about doing miniature painting in a comic book style. Definitely felt a little outside my comfort zone drawing the way I traditionally do in 2D in 3D (and without an undo button) but I had fun!

Actually getting to a RPG session at PAXU this year. Checking out Alice is Missing, which I loved when I ran a game for friends a few years ago, but have been looking forward to playing it not as the one running it!

For the first time ever, I managed to actually register for a workshop at PAXU. Time to level up my miniature painting.

It’s been a long day of travel, but I am officially ready to relax for the evening and enjoy a PAX filled with board games tomorrow.

Website won out for Train Project. Been playing around with storybook 10 and migrating colors over to oklch.

I have a five hour next gen Acela ride coming up (yay new trains) - and now the great Train Project Choice: work on my website or work on my abandoned Ludum dare game I didn’t get to finish.

I was out of purple dye for my last minute home dye job before a trip, so I am rocking the teal for PAX Unplugged. Ready for an excellent weekend of board games.

Ever been in a meeting that fucking sucks? Rhetorical question.

Unfortunately, getting people to what you want requires that you tell them about it — and that's a meeting. Trying to get rid of meetings simply creates a dysfunctional work environment. The only fix is to design the meetings right.
This meeting could have been a picnic
Well-designed meetings are just as important to our work as well-designed artifacts.

Downside of evening shift working elections: your dreams when you finally do get to sleep are just never ending piles of ballots. Still happy I did it tho!

Tonight was my first time working as an election official for my local municipality and I had a great time. Highly recommend volunteering to help out for your local election, they almost always need your help!

Heartbroken to hear what’s happening this week at Teen Vogue. The level of journalism that came out of that publication was always impressive, and I am sad to see it gutted.

The A11y Project is at risk of going over our 1TB bandwidth limit on @netlify.com and being automatically charged $55/100gb in bonus bandwidth to keep it online.

I think we all know the cause and it's depressing. I've asked Netlify to just let the site go down when the limit is hit.
