Watching an African nature documentary. Wow, actual jackals look so much different than they do on the Lion Guard, where they look like German shepherds who never skip bench pressing day.

The Urkel Christmas special was a little overly long, and a little overly packed with songs, but the message and theme were fresh at least. The lead villain's a self-absorbed, golden-maned tech bro who's only defeated when the shareholders of his company vote him out. Yeah, that tracks!

I have to say, Urkel Saves Christmas is pretty original for a Christmas special. Weird, but original.

Wyatt Cenac worked on this Urkel Christmas special. Also, I don't think the Urkel voice comes as easily to Jaleel White as it did in the 1990s.

Gamblers and Gallantry was a really good episode of Samurai Champloo. Like, I've been watching Dororo (2019), and that's an excellent series too, but Champloo is probably as good in its best moments. Not bad for a basic cable anime show!

It's just disgusting, how quickly people are eager to fall in line with fascism and corruption because it's more "convenient." How far we've fallen as a country. And watching a Brit carry water for a fascist makes me want to slap my head. Shame on you, Sean Thomas! If you're capable of shame.

Kaijudo is proof that My Little Pony wasn't a fluke... the Hub had all kinds of great (if extremely toyetic) cartoons. Shame it didn't last forever.
