I'll check the weather forecast. 😂
Manicured patches of grass. Flowers. Seats. That's what it should look like.
I think I've recorded it, but it's been very windy all afternoon. 😂
I thought that it looked familiar.
So elegant. That part of the street hasn't been busy in my lifetime.
I see that your, ahem, rival is now running a Footage Detectives-style programme. How long before they start holding events like this? All that foreign media conglomerate backing, and they can't come up with an original idea.
Aloysius' tie was up to its old tricks again, I see. 😂
Please say that there'll be another series, Hannah. The powers-that-be can't just leave it at ten episodes, surely?
I'm not its biggest fan, but what's happened to The Man from Interpol?
@hannahpeel.bsky.social I'm enjoying your Brass Band programme immensely, especially the round-the-world feature. It's good to hear Brass front and centre on the radio again. You may like to know that the app for Sounds only has four episodes available at any one time, and they are time-limited.
It's not really a surprise to see Eric Idle in Jonathan Miller's Alice in Wonderland. Both had been in the Cambridge Footlights; a few years apart, obviously. Miller also directed another Cambridge Footlights alumnus, John Cleese, in a BBC production of The Taming of the Shrew in the '80s.
I've finally reached the end of my binge-watching, and am now viewing the episode from Sunday the 1st. I have to watch with the subtitles on due to excessive noise in my street, and I have to mention the use of the word 'curb' when talking about the edge of the pavement, when it should be 'kerb'.
It's such a cheap series, with bad acting and scripts. I cringed listening to Noel Dyson attempting a French accent in an episode a few weeks ago, and at the awful Americanisms from the English characters, such as 'autopsy' and 'gasoline'. Similarly in The Cheaters, which is a far better series.
6th April: Leonard Sachs and Andrew Sachs weren't related. 😂
Dame Patricia was 24 when Laxdale Hall was made, and in her early 30s when she appeared in Coronation Street for a few episodes in 1961 as café proprietor, Sylvia Snape, below. The lady in the clip is too old to have been her.
I presume that in the interim this was debunked, but I'm currently binge-watching three months' worth of episodes and have reached the 23rd of March (Orangillo, Archie Andrews, etc): The lady sitting next to Roddy McMillan in the clip from Laxdale Hall is not Patricia Routledge. (1/2)
#Nemo #Stunning #Eurovision
Switzerland, France, Ukraine, Lithuania, Italy. I don't think my opinion has changed much in 4 years. So, so close.
Gjon's Tears really should have won in 2021. I still love that song to this day. #Eurovision
#Switzerland has out-Swedened #Sweden tonight. It's like watching three Petras in the one show. #Eurovision 😂😂
